- The study has been conducted with twenty four cultivars of chickpea during the winter season of 1997 and 1998 to determine genotype x environment interactions at the Çukurova region. The characteristics of lines and varieties were significantly affected by conditions of locations.

Chickpea varieties used in this study, showed different adaptation abilities in different environmental conditions. According to results high grain yield was from FLIP 94-83C (309.2 kg/da) at Doğankent location, FLIP 94-88 C (352.7 kg/da) at Taşçı location, FLIP 94-83 (212.6 kg/da) at Balcalı location, FLIP 94-67C (137.2 kg/da) at Bahçe location, FLIP 92-179 C (225.1 kg/da) at Karaisalı location. According to results low grain yield was from FLIP 94-111C (152.3 kg/da) at Doğankent location, FLIP 93-118 C (67.99 kg/da) at Taşçı locations, ILC 3279 (127.9kg/da) at Balcalı location, FLIP 92-40C (67.01kg/da) at Bahçe location, FLIP 93-133 C (127.7kg/da) at Karaisalı location.
