ANKARA - Farming lands especially pistachio and olive growing areas in Gaziantep province were determined using geographic information systems and remote sensing techniques. With this aim satellite images of two different date covering Gaziantep province were analised with the help of ground truth information. Firstly three main class of agriculture, forest-rangeland and non agricultural lands were created. Then agricultural areas were further divided into cropland and horticultural lands.
