DETERMINATION OF MOISTURE CAPACITY OF SOME CEREAL SEEDS AT THE GERMINATION STAGE

1 Atom Enerjisi Kurumu, ANAEM, Nükleer Tarım Bl., ANKARA - In this laboratory study, the absorbed moisture capacity of some cereal seeds during germination stage, at 20°C had been investigated. The seeds of wheat germinated at 24 hours, at moisture content of 41.05%. The germinate moisture was 60.32% for barley seeds and 127.20% for oat seeds within 48 hours. The rice seeds was germinated at 72 hours, at moisture content of 45.02%. Keywords : Germination; moisture content of germination stage; cereal seeds
