Determination of the Relationship among the some Characters with the Color of the Leaf and Flour in Chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) Cultivars

1 Tarla Bitkileri Merkez Araştırma Enstitüsü Müdürlüğü, Ankara - The study was carried out to determine relationships of some of the color parameters of chickpea leaves and chickpea flour with each other and with other parameters. The study was conducted as a randomized block design with three replications in Haymana in 2009. The fourteen chickpea cultivars registered in Turkey were used as material. In the study, the relationship among the color parameters of chickpea leaves and chickpea flour (L , a , b) and yield, 100 seed weight (g), protein content (%) and number of days to 50 % flowering were examined. According to the results of research, correlation between leaf b + value (yellowness) and 100 seed weight and between 100 seed weight and yield were positive significant (in 1 % level). Negative significant (in 1 % level) correlation was detected between leaf color and flour color + b value (yellowness). It can not be determined a relationship between protein content and flour of chickpea. Keywords : Chickpea, color parameters (L, a, b,) leaf, flour
