1 Ankara Üniversitesi Ziraat Fakültesi Tarla Bitkileri Bölümü-ANKARA - The effects of various nitrogen and CCC (Cycocel) doses on grain protein content of durum vvheat were examined in this research carried out at the Experimental Field of the Department of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Ankara 1997-1998 and 1998-1999. Kızıltan 91 (Ç1), Çeşit 1252 (Ç2) and Çakmak 79 (Ç3) cultivars of durum wheat were used in the research. 0 (N0), 8 (N8), 16 (N16) kg/da nitrogen doses and 0 (C0), 150 (C1), 300 (C2) and 450 (C3) gr/da cycocel doses were applied.

The results regarding both years were evaluated separately for each year in the research. Cultivar x nitrogen x cycocel interaction was signifıcant at level 0.01in both years. According to the results of the research; though increases at grain protein content were seen depending on increasing of nitrogen doses in all cultivars, increasing of cycocel doses decreased grain protein content. The highest grain protein contents were generally obtained from Kızıltan 91 (Ç1) and Çeşit 1252 (Ç2), Çakmak 79 (Ç3) followed Kızıltan 91 (Ç1) respectively in both years. In all cultivars, the highest grain protein content values were observed at non-cycocel (C0) applications and increasing of cycocel doses cause to decrease grain protein content remarkably at three nitrogen doses.
