- In this research, relations between seed yield and some of the characters were determined by means of correlation and path analysis methods in pea (Pisum sativum L.). The experiment was established as split plot of randomized block desing at Applying Research Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Ankara in 1998 and 1999. The varieties of peas named Winner and Karina were used as material. According to the results of the research; it was obtained that the relationships between grain yield per unit and plant height, biomass yield, pod number per plant, seed number per plant, grain yield per plant, and one hundred seed vveight were signifıcant and possitive, while relationship between grain yield and harvest index was not significant but possitive. For the path coefficient analysis, it was observed that seed number per plant, seed yield per plant and nodule number per plant had the highest direct effect on grain yield per unit while biomass yield and plant height has the highest direct effect on seed yield per plant.
