- This study was conducted under Tokat-Kazova conditions during 1999 and 2002. Thirty two common vetch lines obtained from ICARDA and seven common vetch cultivars obtained from Turkey were used as a material. The results showed that there were statistically significant differences among lines and cultivars for some characters. According to average of three years, the highest seed yield (203.7 kg/da) was produced by the line 845 and the lowest (56.1 kg/da) by the line 2638 50 % flowering period ranged between 177 and 190 day, biological yield ranged between 363.4 and 808.3 kg/da, 1000-seed weight ranged between 34.0 and 89.0 g and harvest index ranged between 20.3 and 33.5 %. At the end of this study, it was found that the line 845, 2640, 384, 1448, 2497, 2642, 2057, 1131, 507, 1134, 2096 and Karaelçi and Nilüfer cultivar had good performance. Seed yield and biological yield, 1000-seed weight and harvest index were positively correlated. 50 % flowering period was negatively correlated with the 1000-seed weight.
