³ Doç. Dr. A.Ü. Ziraat Fakültesi - This research was carried out in the experimental fields of the Department of Field Crops, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Ankara in 1993. In this research, pollen grain pecularities in some important vetch species and lines were examined and the relationship between these pecularities and pod and seed were tried to find out.1. In 3 vetch species and 3 vetch lines the following results were obtained: Plant heights 54.27-132.10 cm, lateral branch numbers 4.73-7.93, pod numbers per plant 39.00-315.70. Seed numbers per pod 3.66-9.00, pod width 5.07-7.09 mm, pod length 2.78-5.09 cm, seed yield per plant 11.26-43.59 g, 100 seed weight 30.55-57.93 g.2. The percentages of the germination of seed were between 15.33-98.00%. The percentages of hard seed was between 2.00­84.67%. 3. Pollen widths were between 24.33-28.04 µm. Pollen length were between 34.48-39.46 µm. The percentages of pollen germination were between 42.85­86.27%, pollen tube length were between 130.50-318.00 µm.
