- This experiment was carried out at Haymana Kenan Evren Research and application farm the Agricultural Faculty, AnkaraUniversity. In this research Hungarian vetch (Vicia pannonica Crantz.) was used as winter, freezing and spring planting time with 17.5, 35.0 and 52.5 cm row distances and 1,2,3 and 4 cm within the row were planted. Investigated characters as hay yield, grain yield, some of yield components and relation of these components among each other were measured. This experiment was carried out in randomize plots design with three replications.

The highest hay yield per unit area was found of winter planting from 17.5 X 1 cm plots (348 kg/da). The lowest hay yield per unit area was found in spring planting from 52.4 X 4 cm plots (14 kg/da). Average high yield for three planting times was found 128.6 kg/da (winter), 38.2 kg/da (freezing) and 28.9 kg/da (spring). The highest correlation was found between hay yield and biological yield (r= 0.970), hay yield and per unit area pod number (r= 0.950). These relations were highly significant. The higher correlation was calculated between grain yield and per unit area pod number (r=0.944), grain yield and biological yield (r=0.967). Also these correlations were highly significant.

The high yields were considered as dependent. The highest direct effect on dependent variable was biological yield in path analysis (0.6531). Also the grain yield per unit area was considered dependent variable and the other characters were independent. The highest direct effect on dependent variable was biological yield in path analysis (0.6889). Keywords : Hungarian vetch; Vicia pannonica Crantz.; seeding dates
