1 Bahri Dağdaş Uluslararası Tarımsal Araştırma Enstitüsü Müdürlüğü, Konya - The study was conducted on rainfed and irrigated conditions in İçeri Çumra, Central Anatolia. Four bread wheat varieties (Karahan 99 and Gerek 79 for rainfed, Konya 2002 and Göksu 99 for irrigated) were used with 2.00, 2,25, 2.50 and 2.75 mm seed size, using Split Blok Design with 3 replications. Yield, plant height, test weight, thousand kernels protein, SDS and gluten were found significantly important between varieties. There was not any effect of seed size on rainfed condition on plant height, thousand kernels, test weight, protein, SDS and gluten, on the other hand, the effect of seed size was significantly important on thousand kernels, test weight and gluten on irrigation condition. According to the study big sized seed should be used for higher yield on wheat. Keywords : Bread wheat, seed size, grain yield, plant height. wheat quality
